Halloween was not celebrated in Sweden until recently. Coincidentally kids in Sweden get a week off school in October called Reading Week.
Introduced in 2016, it encourages children to love reading and improve their comprehension. Before that, it was just the Autumn Holiday, always in week 44.
Also, on All Saints’ Eve, Swedes light candles on graves to honor the dead and show gratitude for the people who shaped their lives. A beautiful tradition!
